Barry Miskin, MD, General Surgery
Dr. Barry Miskin is Board certified in General Surgery, Hospice and Palliative care. He has been in practice for over 25 years. His clinical expertise includes general surgery with an emphasis on robotic and laparoscopic procedures. He has an interest in wound healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment through his continuing work on the study of Traumatic Brain Injury as the co-Director of Jupiter Medical Center’s Joe Namath Neurological Research Center.
Dr. Miskin has written extensively on disaster preparedness and was one of the first physicians trained by the American College of Surgeons Disaster Management course. He has also been an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor for over 25 years, and teaches the ATLS course at the University of Miami and the University of South Florida. He trained at a Level I Trauma Center and continues to work as a Trauma Surgeon. Dr. Miskin is the author of the book First-Response Medicine For Terrorist Attacks.
Dr. Miskin graduated from University of the Northeast Medical School. He speaks English and Spanish.
